An exclusive, influencer friendly hub for product launches, special guest masterclass presentations and content creation - the the beauty hall, Selfridges, Manchester.

Problem
The project set out to create a beautiful, temporary VIP environment for social media influencers, timed to coincide with the launch of the new Beauty Hall at Selfridges. The ambition was to design a space that not only felt visually striking, but also intuitive and comfortable for content creation—an environment where influencers could capture high-quality imagery and video while fully immersing themselves in the brand experience. The space needed to balance aesthetics with functionality, ensuring it performed as both a creative studio and an exclusive event venue.
At the heart of the concept was flexibility. The layout was carefully zoned to provide a variety of distinct backdrops and moments, allowing multiple types of content to be produced simultaneously. From curated photo opportunities to more relaxed, lifestyle-driven settings, each area was designed with framing, lighting, and composition in mind. This ensured that every corner of the space offered a unique visual identity, encouraging creativity while maintaining a cohesive overall look and feel.

Alongside content creation, the space also needed to support a program of live events. Dedicated areas were incorporated for celebrity appearances, Q&A sessions, and meet-and-greet moments, all while maintaining a sense of intimacy and exclusivity. Acoustics, sightlines, and circulation were considered to ensure these moments felt special and well-managed, without disrupting the wider experience. Private zones were also integrated, offering influencers and VIP guests a place to retreat, prepare, or engage in more personal interactions away from the main activity.
The visual language of the space was key to its success. A palette of pink tones defined the environment—cool, soft, and luminous—creating a dreamy yet contemporary atmosphere. Surfaces were treated to enhance light diffusion, giving the space a bright, flattering quality that naturally elevates content. The overall aesthetic struck a careful balance between inviting and exclusive: approachable enough to feel comfortable, yet refined enough to feel aspirational. The result was a space that not only celebrated the launch of the Beauty Hall, but also became a destination in its own right—designed to be seen, shared, and remembered.
